Artistic collective ooo is creating space for exploring the world through sound, contemporary music, and intermedia art. Our artistic and curatorial approach is rooted in hope\u2014for all living beings on this planet\u2014even as we live through the sixth mass extinction in Earth\u2019s history. Our efforts focus on projects that delve into the complex relationships between human and non-human beings, including work in acoustic ecology through the project Sonic Topographies, the intermedia environment JAMA<\/a>, and educational activities New Ears<\/a>. Collective ooo is based in Bratislava, Slovakia and is a member of Central European Network for Sonic Ecologies<\/a><\/p>\n

The name ooo was originally intended to be read as \u201c\u00f3\u201d (Slovak long \u201coh\u201d), but we enjoy any other possible interpretation that may come up. The name arose from our preoccupation with sound, but, equally, it is an interjection expressing the ever-important sense of joy and wonder. At the same time, ooo is a triple zero, an absence, a visual expression of a rounded or negative space \u2013 that is, a pit (Slovak word for JAMA<\/a>) from which our activities emerged.<\/p>\n

Fero Kir\u00e1ly <\/b>is a musician. He studied piano, but focuses on interdisciplinary projects with an interest in digital technologies and their intersections with music. His projects overlap with performance, sound art, installations and interpretation of contemporary music. He collaborates with musicians, artists, performers, theater artists, visual artists (e.g. Bohu\u0161 and Monika Kubinsk\u00ed, Petra Fornayov\u00e1, Zuzana \u017dabkov\u00e1, Jakub Pi\u0161ek, Lina Lapayete, Maja Osojnik, Hillary Jeffrey, Hauke Harder, Daniel Matej, Juraj Bartusz, Peter Machajd\u00edk, Eva \u0160u\u0161kov\u00e1 a.i.). He is also involved in music education projects. He is a co-founder and artistic director of Cluster ensemble, with whom he has created projects for the Czech National Theater (2018, 2019) or the album\u00a0Cluster ensemble plays Philip Glass<\/i>\u00a0published by Philip Glass\u2019s record label Orange Mountain Music (2016).<\/h6>\n

Eva Voz\u00e1rov\u00e1 <\/b>is a dramaturge, performer, writer, and cultural manager. She is engaged in curatorial and authorial activities in the field of sound art and intermedia. She has collaborated with artists from the realm of contemporary music and visual arts, such as Fredrik Rasten, Hans P. Kjorstad, Fero Kir\u00e1ly, Tom\u00e1\u0161 Pri\u0161tiak, Hauke Harder, Eva \u0160u\u0161kov\u00e1, and others. Currently, she is working on researching sound environments in urban settings. She has a degree in journalism.<\/h6>\n
