Martin Jánošík is a Slovak composer and teacher who studied composition at the Faculty of Performing Arts of the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica with Prof. Ladislav Burlas and Prof. Egon Kráka. His work includes solo, chamber, and symphonic compositions, music for theater, including the immersive performance MONOPOL (2024), and works for children. In recent years, he has collaborated with the Superar and Belius choirs and performed G. F. Haas’s work 11,000 Strings at the Prague Spring festival in 2024. Since 2013, he has been teaching at the Elementary Art School in Banská Štiavnica, where he conducts a chamber orchestra, and he is the founder of the nationwide piano competition Banskoštiavnické kladivká.
