According to research, an adult makes tens of thousands of decisions every day. Alongside each other, routine decision-making processes—performed automatically—run in parallel with higher cognitive functions that demand creativity, energy, and the evaluation of complex constructs. These two systems constantly negotiate for the processing capacity of our minds. The outcome of this internal computation shapes the space in which our decisions unfold, influences their quality, and is key to the programming of our lives.
All You Can Eat is an audiovisual essay on decision-making for two performers. It offers images—of the choices available to us, the conditions under which we make them, the autonomy of free will in which we believe, and the attention we pay to our choices in a time when each individual’s decisions can shape global reality.
All You Can Eat is the result of a process of selection, a chain of calculations, probabilities, and compromises.
The performance is in Slovak.
The performance includes strobing light effects that may affect people sensitive to visual stimuli.
The performance is part of off-programme of Nu Dance Fest 2025.
