Marek Kundlák is a trained theatre dramaturge, director, and actor, as well as a musician, composer and creator of experimental musical instruments, librettist, and author of dramatic, poetic, and essayistic texts. He worked as a project manager for the Opera of the Slovak National Theatre and is currently the music dramaturge for literary-dramatic genres at Slovak Radio and a director of radio plays. He grows food, cooks, and does carpentry. Together with Matúš Wiedermann and friends, he founded and ran the DYI Instruments Ensemble. He is a humanist and a European, and has created and performed in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Scotland, Italy, and England. As a performer, he was part of the Slovak representation at the 60th Venice Biennale.
