Terms like climate catastrophe, climate injustice, and climate grief exist in our language and are slowly seeping into the everyday lives of contemporary generations. They emerged from observing the impact of our civilisation on the planet and the reverse effects of these changes on ourselves.

Our capacity to connect with more-than-human worlds, our sensitivity to the environment, and the direction in which our relationship with that environment is heading — these are questions we will explore with Aleksandra Gudkova, a sound artist based in Austria and Slovakia. With German sound artist Till Bovermann, we will move into the digital and technological environments that are increasingly absorbing our attention. In his work, Bovermann investigates the sounds of infrastructures — the systems that underpin our everyday lives, yet which we only become aware of when they stop working.
