The city that could have been. Can you imagine the Slovak Grand Prix on an F1 circuit in Záblatie? Or Aupark shopping centre opposite the Jewish synagogue? There are dozens of such plans in Trenčín  – more or less realistic – yet most of them have faded from public awareness.

The city of Trenčín is home to numerous architectural and urban planning proposals that were created in the past in response to specific social, economic or ideological needs of their time, but were never realised.

Architect Alexander Topilin will guide us through the city from the venue of the first úúú concert to the venue of the second; along the way, they will talk about plans that never reached the construction stage and about the current exhibition Unrealised Trenčín – The City That Could Have Been.
